About us

San Diego Mustangs Youth Rugby Club was founded in 2004 and is celebrated its 20th season in 2024. As one of the largest rugby clubs in Southern California, we have over 300 youth club players ages U8 - U18 and we support over 250 players in high school programs.

The club is a volunteer-run, 501 (c) 3 organization made up of parents, coaches and players who are passionate about rugby and focused on introducing the sport to as many youth as possible in the broad area covering Carmel Valley, Del Mar, La Jolla, Sorrento Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Westview, Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch and Black Mountain Ranch.

San Diego Mustangs Youth Rugby strives to provide the highest standard and quality of coaching and training, to foster teamwork and to develop each player to the best of his/her potential in a fun and safe environment.  All coaches, parents and players are mindful of the Mustangs playing in the spirit of the game, with a focus on teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.
